And then the pool

It was such a gorgeous day - we stayed and played and swam for four hours.

Car Wash!

He had a ball getting soaking wet yesterday, and playing around with all the settings on the sprayer. He was delighted to 'mist' down the Jeep after the soaping :)

Shades

His eyes hurt from the chlorine, so he decided he would wear shades all day today. For everything.

Measurements

Ryan asked for D's measurements for his wedding day tux. I had to share them, because how fun is it to now have his chest and waist measurements? I mean, I've always kept tabs on height, weight, and of course known shoe and clothing sizes. But I'll always know now that at seven-and-a-half, he had a 25.5 inch chest and 21.5 (!!!!!) inch waist.

This information delights me.

Super Sick Vans:

He wanted me to post them so he can look at them too :)

A hit!

Safe at 1st, and advanced to second by Chilly Antlers :). So far it's 2-0 (us) in the bottom of the second.

Summer is officially underway

Ball Pit Fun

Provisional 2nd Grader:

I know...

...it's not perfect you're there for the summer. Sometimes it will be seemless, sometimes it won't. Sometimes one of us will be sleeping, or in need of it, and the other won't. Sometimes one of us will want to share something, and the other won't be able to listen right then. Sometimes one of us will feel the separation more than the other. We can't help that. It's what happens when life happens away from each-other.

Just always be sure that I love you. That even when I am exhausted, I want to hear your voice say, "good night.". That even if I'm busy, I always want to share the details of our lives. That being apart is really a chance to appreciate the space we make in each-others lives when we are together.

You're there for the Summer. And I could spend the time lamenting that - or celebrating the ever-shortening window of your return.

I'll take door number two.

I'm yours.
